Kenneth Williams - The Good Samaritan
A space for spiritual reflection with a Bible reading, prayer and a range of Christian music led by Mark Oakley
Kenneth Williams - The Good Samaritan
Kenneth Williams’s Christian faith was a significant part of his life and impacted him deeply. At the height of his fame in the 1970s he was asked to record excerpts from the Bible. This week, as we approach what would have been his 100th birthday, the Daily Service showcases some of the recordings - many of which haven’t been broadcast until now.
The reflections are presented by Williams’ friend the Very Reverend Mark Oakley, a student at the time of their friendship and now Dean of Southwark. He explores the readings and what they tell us about the human condition and the faith of the master storyteller we hear narrating them.
With thanks to Scripture Union and Jennifer Robertson.
