Do you think the Prime Minister should denounce the US strikes on Venezuela? Sir Keir Starmer has refused to be drawn on whether or not US President Donald Trump's military action may have broken international law. But Starmer is facing a rebellion within his own party. Former shadow attorney general, Dame Emily Thornberry has said that Mr Trump’s conduct “must be called out”. Saturday's large-scale strikes on Venezuela resulted in the capture of President Nicolas Maduro, who has since been detained in New York.

Today is referred to as “Divorce Day” in some quarters, and it is widely recognised as the busiest day of the year for divorce enquiries across the UK. And in commemoration, recordings of the Italian opera singer’s1995 concert at the Llangollen International Music Eisteddfod have been released. It’s also 70 years since a 19 year old Pavarotti first competed in Llangollen as part of a small Italian choir.
