A tranquil soundtrack of ice and frost ft. Alex Somers
Erland Cooper looks for inspiration in the cold for this musical journey into calm, with frost-filled selections. Plus musician Alex Somers transports us to his safe haven.
Growing up on an island in the north sea, composer Erland Cooper is well used to the cold, and finds it a huge source of inspiration for him. For this episode, he reaches for musical selections inspired by frost, ice and snow, with recordings of glacial lakes and music from the likes of Peter Broderick, Vashti Bunyan and Hiroshi Yoshimura.
Plus we travel to the safe haven of the American musician and composer Alex Somers. He shares one of his favourite pieces of music that he recommends listening to on repeat to get to a place of ultimate calm.
