DJ Spoony is a Stevie Wonder superfan, and in this hour-long special, he recalls how it started when he was growing up in Hackney, East London in the 70s, but he wouldn’t fully appreciate the artist’s legacy until much later in life and continues in the present day.

This is the story of how Stevie Wonder's legacy inspired DJ Spoony to pursue a career in music and entertainment, to become one of the UK's most influential presenters, packed with some of the most-loved and acclaimed music ever created - from the magic of 60s Motown, to Stevie’s “classic era” of the 70s, which gifted such iconic albums as “Songs in the Key of Life” and “Music of my Mind”, to the pop hits of the 80s. Spoony’s journey of discovering the genius of Stevie Wonder’s genius isn’t a conventional one, it is long and winding but nonetheless authentic and told with honesty, respect and love for the artist.
