BBC SSO performs Mozart and Pianist and Composer Einaudi turns 70

The BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra perform Mozart’s Thamos, King of Egypt and we celebrate Italian composer and pianist Ludovic Einaudi who turns 70 today.

The BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra perform Mozart’s Thamos, King of Egypt at a concert in City Halls, Glasgow.

The Royal Scottish National Orchestra perform Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker, the BBC Symphony Orchestra perform Benjamin Britten's Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra and we include music from Bizet, Haydn and Schubert.

We celebrate the talent of Italian composer and pianist Ludovic Einaudi as he celebrates his 70th birthday today.

And we continue our strand featuring musicians with the Scottish Chamber Orchestra who tell us about their love of music as part of their marketing campaign ‘For The Love of Music’. This week it’s the turn of cellist Eric de Wit.
