Pianist, composer and producer Mark de Clive-Lowe has lived around the world - he grew up between New Zealand and Japan, spent a decade in London where he was a leading figure in the Broken Beat movement, and lived in LA before settling in Tokyo.

Mark runs down what makes the Tokyo jazz scene special and recommends three local acts you should get to know.

He is in the UK on November 20th as part of the London Jazz Festival, playing music from his album Hotel San Claudio alongside Melanie Charles and Shigeto at Ronnie Scott's.

Jamie pays tribute to drummer, composer and pianist Jack DeJohnette, who recently passed away at the age of 83. Also, he has tracks from Joni Mitchell and Pentangle.
