Joy Dunlop introduces some of Scotland’s most talented young musicians as they compete in the semi-finals of this prestigious traditional music award. Twelve musicians perform for a distinguished jury at BBC Scotland’s Pacific Quay headquarters, but only six will be selected to go through to the final which takes place on February 1, 2026 in Glasgow’s City Halls as part of the Celtic Connections Festival.
