For the very best in traditional music, join Gary Innes for Take the Floor. We have a fantastic session from John Carmichael and his band to share with you, recorded back in 2022. John then joins us in the studio to bring us a few special tracks surrounding the theme of Australia. John has several connections to down under, having lived and worked there for four years. He has also toured across the country several times with prominent musicians, such as Jimmy Shand and Andy Stewart, and has many stories to tell from these trips!
Gary is then joined by Scottish folk legend Eric Bogle. Eric emigrated to Australia in his mid 20s but has always been connected with his Scottish identity and remains one of the most well-respected Scottish folk singers to this day. Gary catches up with him to hear about his incredible music career.
