Day 8 Highlights

It’s the penultimate day at the World Athletics Championships, and Sarah Mulkerins has highlights of all the action. Can Katarina Johnson-Thompson defend the title she won in Budapest two years ago? It’s the javelin and the 800m to finish her campaign.

After winning medals in all four relay finals at the Paris Olympics, Great Britain will be confident of more in Tokyo. The 4 x 400m and 4 x 100m teams will have to get through the heats first.

And there are gold medals to be handed out in the field in the women’s shot put and javelin, whilst on the track, it’s the final of the women’s 5,000m, featuring Faith Kipyegon, and the men’s 800m final.
