Vernon brings the big tunes!

Country superstar Carly Pearce continues her ten-song journey on this week's Tracks Of My Years.

Having left her home in Kentucky aged just 15, Carly went from working at Dollywood - Dolly Parton's theme park - to becoming a Grammy and three-time Country Music Association winner.

She achieved her breakthrough with the hit single 'Every Little Thing' in 2017, and Carly's also known for anthems like 'I Hope You're Happy Now', 'Oklahoma' and 'What He Didn't Do'. Last year, she released her fourth album, 'Hummingbird', and she was in the UK earlier in the year as part of a huge European tour.

In 2023, Carly marked her 100th appearance at the legendary Grand Ole Opry, and last week she was on the bill for the first ever Opry held outside of America. Held at the Royal Albert Hall, 'Grand Ole Opry: Live In London' is one of the ways the institution is marking its centenary. Luke Combs, Ashley McBryde, Carly Pearce, Darius Rucker, Marty Stuart and Mumford & Sons were part of the lineup, and it’ll be on Radio 2 on Thursday 2nd October, with the TV version on BBC Two later in the month.
