Hello Cleveland...again! Welcome back Spinal Tap...
Shaun marks the return of the best ever fictional rock band, Spinal Tap, on the day their new movie is released.
In 1984, 'This is Spinal Tap' encapsulated everything ridiculous about huge British rock bands on tour. The film, directed by Rob Reiner and starring Christopher Guest and Harry Shearer, managed to capture the awful whiff of toe-curling behaviour, on-and-off stage antics, song titles and character traits of the some of the. rock world's worst offenders. Legend has it that Spinal Tap was originally based on an amalgam of bands, from Yes to Black Sabbath to Saxon, Emerson Lake and Palmer and beyond - but no one knows for sure exactly who.
Now, 'Spinal Tap 2 - The End Continues' picks up on the story, forty years later. On the show this time - we'll hear Shaun chatting to some of the band about their latest screen exposé and how they managed to rope Sir Paul McCartney and Sir Elton John into their rock reunion.
