Israel Faces UN Security Council Criticism

Israel has faced fierce criticism at the UN Security Council in New York of its plan to step up the war in Gaza. Britain's envoy said an expanded offensive would open the way to more bloodshed. But the US representative insisted Israel could decide how to ensure its own security.
