Summer Schemes, Fire Safety, Jazz and a little Yarn

Summer schemes, fire safety, jazz and a little yarn.

Helen Mark presents BBC Radio Ulster’s weekly Ulster-Scots magazine show alongside Rab Lennox and Willie Hill. This week, the team chat about Ulster-Scots themed Summer Schemes, a new version of a fire safety leaflet and a ‘Hairt Song’ that takes us to The Rinka in Islandmagee (at it’s peak). There’s also a tease of next week’s special show celebrating Yarns – the annual digest of Ulster-Scots writing – with Aileen McCahoon reading her incredibly poignant poem.
As always, listeners are invited to contact the programme with a good Ulster-Scots yarn or event to talk about. The easiest way to do that is by email - [email protected].
