Germany v Denmark

Gabby Logan presents coverage as the runners-up from the last two editions of the Women’s Euro, Germany and Denmark, face each other in Basel.

Germany are the most successful team in the history of the Women’s Euro with eight titles, including six in a row prior to a shock quarter-final defeat to Denmark in Rotterdam in 2017.

The German squad includes many survivors from their 2022 final defeat against England, including Julie Brand, versatile defender Kathrin Hendrich and striker Lea Schuller. They will also be bolstered by the talismanic Ann-Katrin Berger in goal.

Denmark are captained by the inspirational Pernille Harder, who was among the scorers in the 2017 final defeat against the Netherlands.

Former German international Josephine Henning joins an expert panel in the studio, while commentators Vicki Sparks and Karen Bardsley call the action in Switzerland’s largest stadium.
