Actor Warren Mitchell is castaway by Sue Lawley.
Arthur Miller praised his portrayal of Willy Loman in Death of a Salesman at the National Theatre and he played King Lear in Australia in 1978 and at the West Yorkshire Playhouse in 1995.
However, Warren will always be best remembered for Alf Garnett, the bigoted, bully in Till Death Us Do Part which first aired on BBC TV in 1965.
