'Go on, break us a shilling’s worth of biscuits!'

Mick in Derry recalls the broken biscuit counter in Woolworths. Patrick is more interested in his matchbox car.

“A lady called Myra worked in the broken biscuit department in Woolworths,” says Mick from Derry, “and sometimes they didn't have broken biscuits. I used to say, ‘Go on, break us a shilling’s worth anyway.’ My wife Teresa worked in the delph counter, but there wasn't a big demand for broken plates.”
Sean laughs. He's been wondering what Woolworths used to sell.
“I have a matchbox Rolls Royce which I bought in Wellworths,” says Patrick in Malaysia. “I remember the detective magazines upstairs.”
“Sit up straight and pay attention!” says Sean. “We’re not talking about Wellworths!”
