Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) provides immediate medical aid to those in need, while also developing local capacity and skills to ensure the long-term development of the Palestinian healthcare system.

After his mother was forced to flee her home baby Zain, not his real name, was born prematurely at 30 weeks. A MAP-established neonatal intensive care unit provided the ventilator and medical care that saved his life.

Healthcare in critical need

Healthcare in critical need
Gaza's healthcare system is at breaking point, with no hospitals fully functioning. The MAP-supported hospital Zain was treated in has the only neonatal ICU left in northern Gaza that can provide critical support to premature babies.
