A Whiskey Hotel for Carnlough and U-S on NVTV

Visiting a “Whiskey Hotel” with a remarkable history in Carnlough, NVTV’s wonderful Ulster-Scot’s content and a new Director of Education and Language at the Ulster-Scot’s Agency.

Helen Mark presents BBC Radio Ulster’s weekly Ulster-Scots magazine show alongside Willie Hill and Rab Lennox. This week, the team catch up with William Olphert – the new Director of Education and Language at the Ulster-Scot’s Agency to find about his role and his increasing enthusiasm for Ulster-Scots culture. There’s also a chat with Dean Hagan – programme director at NVTV / Northern Visions – he’s overseeing a wonderful mix of Ulster-Scots content going out on the station. Meanwhile, Jane Rea gets a preview of the new look Londonderry Arms in Carnlough – becoming a ‘whiskey hotel’ while continuing to embrace its unique history.
