Franz Ferdinand - Chat & Full Set

Franz Ferdinand kick off the last week of Radio 2’s Piano Room, performing alongside the BBC Concert Orchestra from BBC Maida Vale studios.

To date, Franz Ferdinand have sold over 10 million albums, had 2.5 billion streams and have won BRIT, Ivor Novello & Mercury Prize awards. This year, they released their sixth studio album ‘The Human Fear’, their first new album in seven years.

Franz Ferdinand says: “We’re thrilled to be part of Piano Room Month for Radio 2 with the BBC Concert Orchestra. This is something that we’ve wanted to do for a long time so it’s an honour to be asked. It’s a chance to hear songs like you’ve never heard them before and maybe something that you’ve definitely never heard us do before. Can’t wait!”

Back for its fourth year, Radio 2 Piano Room Month sees globally-famous, award-winning artists perform three tracks - a new song, one of their well-known numbers, and an unexpected cover version - all accompanied by the BBC Concert Orchestra.
