US History, Back to School and… Bees!
US history, a new generation of U-S speakers and keeping bees!
Helen Mark presents BBC Radio Ulster’s weekly Ulster-Scots magazine show alongside Rab Lennox, Carla Speer and Willie Hill. This week, Nelson McCausland joins the team to talk about the Ulster-Scots involvement in the formation of a document that influenced the foundation of the United States 250 years ago. Meanwhile Willie visits Oakfield Primary School in Carrickfergus to hear how the kids are incorporating more and more Ulster-Scots into their every day learning. Also – Carla meets a beekeeper in Gracehill to find out about some novel items she’s creating with the help of her busy helpers.
As always, listeners are invited to contact the programme with a good Ulster-Scots yarn or event to talk about. The easiest way to do that is by email - [email protected].
