Mark Chapman presents highlights from the fifth round of games in Europe’s elite club competition, including Aston Villa against Juventus and Liverpool v Real Madrid.

Unai Emery’s men have won their first two Champions League home games, impressively defeating both Bayern Munich and Bologna. They now face Italian giants Juventus, who ended Villa’s reign as European champions by knocking them out over two legs in 1983.

Real Madrid, meanwhile, beat Liverpool in the 2018 and 2022 Champions League finals, but the Reds overcame the Spaniards to win the European Cup final in 1981.

Wednesday night also features a crucial game for Celtic against Club Brugge, while Manchester City and Arsenal both play on Tuesday.
