60 years of ‘Ulster Dialects’ and the National Ploughing Championships

Celebrating a seminal publication, looking forward to a special screening and... ploughing!

Helen Mark presents BBC Radio Ulster’s weekly Ulster-Scots magazine show alongside Rab Lennox and Willie Hill.
This week, Helen has been to a seminar at Cultra Manor marking the 60th anniversary of the seminal ‘Ulster Dialects’ by Brendan Adams being published.

Anne McMaster joins the team to chat about a BBC Preview Screening of 'Out of the Silence' a documentary exploring Ulster-Scots and the importance of writing by women.
And finally, Rab reports from the National Ploughing Championships in Gilford!
As always, listeners are invited to contact the programme with a good Ulster-Scots yarn or event to talk about. The easiest way to do that is by email - [email protected].
