A special show from East Donegal

Helen Mark and Jane Rea explore East Donegal and its rich Ulster-Scots history.

Helen Mark is joined by Jane Rea for a special edition of BBC Radio Ulster’s weekly Ulster-Scots magazine show. Ahead of the annual East Donegal Family History Festival at Monreagh Ulster-Scots Heritage Centre, the duo explore a unique part of the world with a fascinating past. As well an outline of East Donegal’s rich connection to Ulster-Scots history, there’s a wonderful afternoon tea on the banks of the Foyle, a trip to Raphoe Castle and a spontaneous performance on the local church organ.
As always, listeners are invited to contact the programme with a good Ulster-Scots yarn or event to talk about. The easiest way to do that is by email - [email protected].
