Episode 1

Explorer and adventurer Alice Morrison travels to Jordan and Saudi Arabia on the trail of a forgotten civilisation, the Nabataeans. She visits their most spectacular sites such as the Treasury at Petra, learns about their religious beliefs and explores hidden tombs lost to the sands of time. Following the incense trade route that made this ancient empire rich, south to Saudi Arabia, Alice meets people living here today to try and understand what life might have been like then in this remarkable landscape.
