Featuring two inspirational Welsh people: Caleb McDuff, who’s turned professional racing driver, and Dot Miles, who’s had a purple plaque unveiled in her honour. Plus a celebration of Pride Month.

To celebrate the start of Pride Month, William Everett, a recently elected trustee of charity Deaf Rainbow UK, joins Yvonne and Julian to talk about his passion to make events more accessible for the deaf LGBTQIA+ community.

Zoë McWhinney, heads to Rhyl in north Wales to see the unveiling of a purple plaque outside the childhood home of Dot Miles. The Purple Plaques Campaign was created to improve the recognition of remarkable women in Wales. Zoë meets Sue Essex, the chair of Purple Plaques Wales, to hear about why Dot was chosen and is joined by Dot’s niece, Liz Deverill, who has travelled from Scotland to be part of the event.

Plus a catch-up with Caleb McDuff at Donington Race Track. Now 16, he is a part of Team Brit, a professional racing team. He is the first professional deaf male UK race driver. Lucy Clark joins him to hear about his ambitions for his first season.
