WasteAid
WasteAid transforms the lives of some of the poorest people in the world by empowering them to find value in waste. With our support, they can increase their incomes while reducing and reusing waste, helping people and the planet to thrive.
Meet Mama Pasto

After losing her job, Mama Pasto couldn’t afford to send her children to school. She was trained as a “community collector” with WasteAid, and now makes a living collecting and selling on plastic waste she collects from clogged local waterways.
A cleaner and healthier environment

You can help others achieve financial stability, all while cleaning their local environment. WasteAid works to empower waste collectors, some of the most marginalised and underpaid workers on the planet, to earn a decent livelihood – and safely!
A brighter future

Thanks to the training Mama Pasto received, her children are now in school, and she has a more secure future. She is proud to pass on what she has learned, too. She says “I can say I have left a legacy, and young people are working because of me.”
