Chance for Childhood
Chance for childhood works to ensure that no child has to fight for a safe, happy childhood. They specialise in ensuring access to inclusive education and safe spaces so that children in Africa can play, grow, learn and thrive.
How do they do this?
Together with partners, supporters, children and their communities, they protect, educate and create lasting change for every child threatened by violence, neglect and conflict.
Meet Olive & Nadine
Nadine’s daughter Olive had a disability which prevented her from being able to go to school. Chance for Childhood provided Nadine with a pregnant pig and by selling the piglets she was able to pay to get Olive the treatment she needed.
Olive is now at school thriving
The Big Pig Project supports families of children with disabilities, in the remote northwest of Rwanda. Chance for Childhood enables families and communities to support their children to get the education they deserve.
