'Darling Sean! Why don’t you go and get some coal?'
Sean considers getting coal, but he’s easing himself into the weekend.
“Please would you play Sultans of Swing to ease us into the weekend?” says Eddie Sheehy. “Or Mustang Sally? Either would get us into the mood!”
“What does that actually mean?” Sean says. “To ease you into the weekend? How does one ease oneself into the weekend? For instance if I was sitting at home tonight, having a glass of wine with my wife, and she looked at me and said, lovingly, ‘Darling! Darling Sean! We need more coal for the fire! Why don’t you go and get coal?’ And I would look at her and say, ‘Oh, but pet, I’m easing into the weekend! You’ll have to get it yourself!’ What do you think she would say?”
With music from John Denver, Buck Owens, Roger Miller, Mario Lanza, and more.
