For the very best in traditional music, join Gary Innes for Take the Floor. We have a great band session from The Reel Lassies, in celebration of International Women's Day. Recorded back in 2024, this band, led by Susan MacFadyen, was a first for Take the Floor, featuring an all-female line up. They are sharing with us a full set of tunes and dances, written either for or by women. Gary is then joined by the Irish folk music sensation, Cara Dillon, to talk through her career as a singer and songwriter, and her new release Coming Home, which reflects on her life and upbringing, and the traditions which shaped her music.
