An investigation starts with a single distraction burglary - a thief has posed as a police officer to steal £100 from a pensioner. But detectives soon realise the offender is on a rampage with escalating levels of violence which ultimately lead to the deaths of two elderly victims. And when police stop a car suspected of being used in drug offences, they end up discovering a huge fake ID factory supplying criminals across the country with false documents.
