Jonny Greenwood of The Smile presents an hour of his favourite music - featuring tracks from Eddie Cochran, Magazine and Sun Ra.

Ahead of their performance at the BBC Radio 6 Music Festival on Saturday 9th March at Victoria Warehouse, Manchester, The Smile present a four-part series of Artist in Residence (Monday 26 – Thursday 29 February, 11pm-12am).

Their series follows those of the two other 6 Music Festival headliners, Young Fathers (broadcast Monday 12–Thursday 15 February, 11pm-12am) and Gossip (broadcast Monday 19 – Thursday 22 February, 11pm-12am), which are both available on BBC Sounds.

Comprising of Radiohead members Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood and former Sons of Kemet drummer Tom Skinner, the band debuted during a special live streamed performance as part of Glastonbury Festival’s Live at Worthy Farm in 2021. Their debut album A Light for Attracting Attention was released in May 2022 with their second studio album Wall of Eyes in January 2024.
