Junior doctors' strike 'inevitable'
The British Medical Association is to announce if junior doctors in Northern Ireland have voted to strike over pay.
The British Medical Association is to announce if junior doctors in Northern Ireland have voted to strike over pay. The union says junior doctors' salaries have fallen by 30 per cent over the last 15 years. Dr Tom Black, a Derry GP and Chair of the BMA in Northern Ireland, tells us a 24 hour strike on March 6th 'looks inevitable'. He said Department of Health officials were not able to give the union 'reassurances there would be any attempt towards pay restoration.'
