Borrowing from the archives of Escape to the Continent, Alistair retraces his steps through the beautiful Midi-Pyrénées region of France, where he was house-hunting with tight-knit sisters back in 2014. Driven by memories of sun-drenched childhood holidays, this was to be an escape to a place where a warm, relaxed and tranquil lifestyle beckoned. Almost a decade later, Alistair rejoins our happily settled Francophile in her exquisite new home and unearths the inspiration for her reignited joie de vivre.
