Just ahead of filming the epic biographical drama 'Lawrence of Arabia', Peter O’Toole talks about his life and career with Elizabeth Frank.

The Yorkshire-Irish actor had recently starred at the Shakespeare Memorial Theatre at Stratford-upon-Avon.

He talks of his boyhood in the North, of his brief career as a provincial journalist, and of his views on producers, actors, and the theatre in general.

At the time of interview, Peter was preparing to star in the big screen life story of TE Lawrence.
