'There’s a 100-day cough going around!'

“I think I’ve got sugar in my petrol!" Sean says. “Last night I coughed and I coughed. And I looked at my clock at one point and it was ten to five! I still hadn’t closed my eyes.”

“My husband, John, had it,” Janet says. “He hasn’t slept in three weeks. He can’t get his breath at all. The doctor says there’s a hundred day cough going round!”

“If I cough for 100 days there will be nothing left of me!” Sean says. “I’ve got 99 days to go!”

“I have the cure,” Doc says. “You get a basin of hot water, you put your feet in it, and vapo-rub in it, put a towel over your head, and breathe it in. It's supposed to clear your throat... normally it doesn't work, but at least your wife doesn't have to look at your bake for a while!”
