'The dentist needed a rest!'

Eddie rings to say that he has two dental appointments today.

“Two appointments?” Sean says. “Why would anyone need to see the dentist twice in one day?”

“Your man’s two dental appointments are easily explained,” Felix says. “One to leave the teeth in, and the other to collect them!”

“No," Eddie says, “It's because the first one was so long she needed a rest in between them. I’m of an age when I’m grateful that I still have teeth!”

“Sweet heart of all that’s holy!” Sean says. “What were they taking out? Your gums?”
