Falling off the Back of a Lorry

A couple are lucky to escape with their lives when a pallet of paving slabs and bricks falls off the back of a lorry and smashes into their car. There are thousands of incidents like this every year, caused by lorries carrying dangerously insecure loads.

The Defenders are carrying out roadside checks to make sure such loads have been properly secured. One lorry driver, carrying two huge 13-tonne concrete blocks, is told it’s too dangerous for him to continue his journey.

The Defenders also investigate a trampoline park following a spate of serious injuries.
