Day 2 - Part 2

A galaxy of world-class stars are in action on the second morning of competition, including British record holder Dina Asher-Smith in the heats of the women’s 100m.

Five-time champion Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce begins her title defence in that event, while 400m hurdles world record holders Karsten Warholm and Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone also compete, the latter in the women’s 400m flat. Sprint hurdler Grant Holloway, Olympic high jump gold medallists Mutaz Essa Barshim and Gianmarco Tamberi and heptathletes Nafi Thiam, Anna Hall and Katarina Johnson-Thompson are other big names to feature.
