The Warriors’ win versus Huddersfield Giants in 2022’s final was the 20th time they have lifted the trophy, six more than nearest rivals Leeds Rhinos. Opponents Hull KR claimed their solitary Challenge Cup triumph in 1980 and suffered heartbreak at this stage in 2022, losing 25-4 to Huddersfield.

The last meeting between the sides in Super League produced a real thriller – Liam Farrell scored a hat-trick, including the winning try, to give Wigan a golden-point victory by 26-22. Could there be another classic at Headingley?
