Brad apologises to Oliver for the break in, and for his part in the damage to the bench. Oliver informs him George has already been to see him, as opposed to Brad who’s waited a week. He also tells Brad that George is fixing the bench – Brad could help. Quiet Brad listens as Oliver makes clear his disappointment in him. Finally Oliver asks for a handshake; he’ll give Brad another chance. Brad discovers George is only mending the bench in the hope that Oliver will reinstate his investment money. Brad’s appalled, pointing out the whole thing was their fault. Isn’t George bothered? George reckons that’s how the world ticks; it was Brad’s choice to go along with the break-in. Furious Brad’s done with George. From now on he’ll go his own way. Later George drops Brad in it even further with Oliver, denying Brad offered help with the bench.
Tom had a great time yesterday with Nova and Seren. When he finds out Natasha went to see Jess with Helen, he angrily points out the potential dangers. He can’t believe they didn’t tell anyone, and that Natasha didn’t tell him Rob was back in the country. Natasha protests Helen asked her not to; she wanted to stay in control of things. Tom’s scornful. When he discovers he’s the only one who didn’t know about Rob’s return, he storms out, and updates Pat on the visit to Jess. He feels they’re not prepared for Rob. Pat counters that she is. She’d be prepared to take Rob’s life to save Helen’s.
