Wales came from 19-7 down to win 24-19 last year – it was their second win of the 2022 championship, and they went on to finish third behind Grand Slam winners England and France.

For Scotland, it was the second of what would prove to be five defeats in a campaign that saw them end up with the wooden spoon. The Scots will be determined to avoid that fate in 2023 but can take hope from the fact that the last time they hosted France, in the Six Nations in 2021, they won 27-20.
