A nightmare has persuaded. John Ffowlke that he must not swear allegiance to the Stuarts.

Talbot has ridden in his place and Gruffydd has been arrested for attacking Ffowlke's bailiff at the Autumn Drove.

Gruffydd is back in Wales during the Jacobite Rebellion hoping to reclaim his birthright.
