A woman pursuing a £10,000 payout after falling feet first into a drain finds herself in a real hole when her story doesn’t add up. Three burglaries in three years – a homeowner who claims he was having a run of bad luck is rumbled by the fraud detectives. It’s double trouble for a scammer who submits identical photos to try to get paid out twice. A dodgy car insurance broker has the brakes slammed on his con by quick-witted investigators, and a convict is caught out on CCTV while trying to make his getaway with a takeaway snack.
