Radio 2's Queen of the Kitchen Disco, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, performs live at Maida Vale with the BBC Concert Orchestra.

It's now more than 20 years since Sophie's debut album Read My Lips was released, peaking at Number 2 on the UK Albums Chart. Since then, she's enjoyed hits with Take Me Home, Mixed Up World and I Won't Change You. More recently, she kept the nation entertained during the pandemic lockdown with her Kitchen Disco performances livestreamed from her home. This would lead to the album Songs From The Kitchen Disco, her Radio 2 series and sellout tours.

Sophie's Piano Room set features all new versions of Murder on the Dancefloor, Breaking the Circle and her cover of Madonna's Open Your Heart.
