Music, chat and news of what’s happening around the country to celebrate the work of Robert Burns.
Burn’s “night” becomes Burn’s “week” as the work of Scotland’s bard is celebrated around the country with concerts, readings, talks, theatrical performances and the traditional dinner of haggis, neeps and tatties with a “wee dram”.
Helen Mark visits the rehearsals of a theatre group taking their performance of “Not So Serious Burns” on tour. Acknowledging his connections to Ulster and the local fondness for his work, there’s news from around the country of Burns events planned across the week.
Carla Speer, Jonnie Crawford and Rab Lennox complete this week’s Kintra and as always, listeners are invited to contact the programme with a good Ulster-Scots yarn or event to talk about. The easiest way to do that is by email - [email protected].
