Flore Laurentienne is the alias of Quebec-based Mathieu David Gagnon who marries string orchestrations with analog synthesizers to create a lush cinematic sound inspired by the the rivers and rugged wilderness of his native country. His new album Volume II is out now on RVNG Intl and a portion of the proceeds from the album will support projects that deal with the preservation, enhancement and rehabilitation of the St. Lawrence River and its Gulf.
