Since first coming to prominence as a guest vocalist with Disclosure, Sam's debut album 'In the Lonely Hour' really put them on the map in 2014. Their career achievements to date include four Grammy Awards, three Brit Awards, three Billboard Music Awards, an American Music Award, a Golden Globe and a Best Original Song Oscar for Writing's On the Wall (from the Bond film Spectre).

2023 is most definitely proving to be Sam Smith’s year. In January their fourth solo album Gloria was released and followed by a couple of memorable appearances at this year’s Brits and the Grammy Awards. The album has been a huge success and Sam has followed this up with a marathon world tour which runs until November.

Sam visited the Radio 2 Piano Room last November just before this frenzy of activity to record three songs with the BBC Concert Orchestra and their own band. Listen out for Unholy from the new album with guest singer Kim Petras, a cover of Des’ree’s I’m Kissing You, and one of the songs that takes us back to where it all began for them back in 2014, Stay With Me.
