France lifted their second consecutive title in 2017 after a narrow win over England on home soil, and the world number one side were highly fancied to complete an unprecedented hat-trick of titles this time around.

Wheelchair rugby league is known as one of the most inclusive sports around, as players with or without a physical disability and both men and women regularly compete together on the same team.
