Soundabout
Soundabout uses music to empower and unlock the potential of people with severe and profound learning disabilities. Our mission is to enable people with learning disabilities to express themselves, connect with others and feel the warmth of music.
Ava’s Story

Ava is a remarkable young lady. She was born with a complex brain injury and now lives with cerebral palsy and epilepsy. Ava is blind, uses a wheelchair and needs 24-hour care, but that doesn’t define who she is.
Our Impact

In our appeal, Ava’s mum Liz describes how Soundabout helped Ava endure long periods of very ill health and chronic isolation. Music has also improved their relationship as Ava can express herself through music.
Our Vision

At Soundabout, we believe that everybody deserves to have a voice. We enable this through our team of specialist and dedicated music practitioners so people with learning disabilities can have a life full of expression, passion and enjoyment.
