Award-winning directors from the world of cinema, including Ken Loach, Mike Leigh, Mary Harron, Sally El Hosaini and James Marsh, take part in a Talking Movies special, looking at the role the BBC has played in nurturing their careers. They sit down with Talking Movies host Tom Brook to explain the ups and downs of working for the BBC and how their early years on BBC projects allowed them to polish their craft and furnished them with invaluable experience and skills for their award-winning movie and documentary film-making careers.
